‘Beautiful and useful’: exhibition & workshops

The ‘Beautiful and Useful’ exhibition is a debut show of Margarita Makhanova and Angus Forbes-Cable. The exhibition reflects on William Morris’s idea of practical objects being aesthetically appealing and celebrates the landscapes of North-East London.

The exhibition will feature oil paintings and drawings by Angus Forbes-Cable; film photography and collages by Margarita Makhanova.

Margarita will be also leading the collage-making workshop on the 16th of June, 2024. The Wicker Basket-making workshop will be led by Mark Bushell. He will be teaching a traditional craft which has been widespread in the Walthamstow wetlands for generations.
